Fountains ¦ Berlin ¦ 2008

For the seventh time the artist Nils R. Schultze will transform four fountains in the heart of Berlin to light objects. From the 28 th of november until the 29 th of december in 2008 the fountains at Pariser Platz (near Brandenburger Tor), Viktoria-Louise-Platz, the fountain Wrangelbrunnen in the Urbanstrasse and the fountain, hidden since years behind a woodden box behind the Märkischen Museum will dispense light instead of water. This years illuminated objects are all build around historic fountains. The light sculpture “Karusell” behind the Märkischen Museum ist connected to the exhibition “100 Jahre Licht in Berlin”. This is the only artpiece shown until january 2009.
